Sign up at feeder.co, select Add feed, paste the address of a site you like and select Follow. Its new posts then show up under Home. Here are the first steps in order. Each takes a minute or two and links to a full guide.
1. Create your free account
Select Sign up at the top of feeder.co and sign up with your e-mail, Google or Apple. The Free plan follows up to 200 feeds, with no ads. See What's included in Feeder's Free plan.
Most new accounts start with a feed called Introduction to Feeder. Its posts are the getting started guides, so you can practice on it and delete it later.
The browser extension also works without an account, but your feeds then stay in that one browser. Create an account from the extension to keep them safe and see them everywhere. See Feeds missing after sign-up, an update or a new browser.
2. Add your first feed
- Select Add feed (the plus sign) in the left sidebar.
- Paste a website's address, such as a news site or a blog you read, and press Enter.
- Select Follow on the feed you want. The button changes to Following.

3. Read your posts
Select Home in the left sidebar. Your feed list starts with All posts, Unread and Starred, followed by your feeds. Select a feed to see its posts, and a post to read it. The number next to a feed counts the posts you haven't read.

4. Sort your feeds into folders
Select Library in the left sidebar, then Add and Add folder. Name the folder and drag feeds onto it. Folders work on every plan. See How to create folders and organize your feeds.
5. Turn on notifications
Open Settings, then Notifications, and tick Sound, Desktop or Mobile for all your feeds or for one. E-mail needs a paid plan: Plus is $7.99 a month billed yearly ($9.99 monthly). See Get notifications for new posts in your RSS feeds.
6. Get Feeder on your phone

What can I try next?
- Track news about a topic, company or person with Google Alerts and news search feeds.
- Rules filter posts by keyword, star them or send them to other tools. Rules need Plus or Professional.
- Collections save single posts to read later, on every plan.
Common questions
Where do I read the posts from the feeds I follow?
Select Home, then a feed in your feed list, or All posts for every feed together. In the browser extension, select the Feeder icon in your toolbar.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Feeder works in any browser at feeder.co, Safari included. The apps and extensions are optional.
Do I have to log in every time?
No. Feeder keeps you logged in on each browser and device. Bookmark feeder.co/reader to go straight to your posts, or pin the Feeder extension to your toolbar.
