To get notified about new posts, open Settings, Notifications, and tick a channel for all your feeds or for one feed. Feeder can play a sound, show a pop-up on your computer, send a push notification to your phone, or e-mail you the post.

How do I turn on notifications for all my feeds?
- Select Settings in the left navigation bar (in the extension, open the menu first), then Notifications. The direct link is feeder.co/settings/notifications.
- In the All feeds row, tick Sound, Desktop, Mobile or E-mail. This row also covers feeds you add later.
- If your browser asks, allow notifications. If Feeder says "Desktop pop-ups are blocked in this browser", select Allow.
How do I get notifications for one feed?
Leave the All feeds row unticked and tick the channel in the feed's own row. Type in Filter feeds to find it. Or right-click the feed, select Edit feed, and on the Settings tab, under Notifications, turn on the channels you want.
A channel ticked in the All feeds row is on for every feed. To choose feed by feed, untick it there first.
How do I get notifications on my phone?
- Install Feeder for iPhone and iPad or Android and log in with the same account.
- Allow notifications when the app asks.
- For all feeds, open the Settings tab and turn on Push notifications under Global notifications. For one feed, open Feeds, swipe left on the feed, tap Edit and turn on Notifications.
The Mobile column on the web controls the same setting.
Does Feeder need to be open?
With the browser extension installed, the extension shows pop-ups while your browser is running, even with no Feeder tab open. Without it, sounds and pop-ups come from an open feeder.co tab. Phone and e-mail notifications arrive either way.
How do I get posts by e-mail?
Tick E-mail to get each new post in your inbox. For fewer e-mails, open Settings, Email summaries and select New summary. Pick a Schedule (Daily, Weekly or Monthly), a Time of day, your Time zone, and the feeds or collection to send under Source.

Can I get notified only about posts with certain keywords?
Yes. Turn on notifications for the feed, then add a rule that filters it:
- Select Rules in the left navigation bar, then New rule.
- Under What should happen?, choose Filter posts, and pick the feed under Select feeds.
- Under Match posts that, type your keywords, then select Save rule.
Feeder hides posts that don't match and doesn't notify you about them. Rules need Plus or Professional. See Track news about a topic, company or person.
How fast do notifications arrive?
Feeder notifies you when it finds a new post, after the feed's next check. On Free, feeds update every 2 hours by default, and you can set a feed to update as often as every 30 minutes. Common questions
How do I keep pop-ups on screen until I close them?
Turn on Show notifications until dismissed in Settings, Advanced. Selecting a pop-up opens the post and marks it as read.
How do I stop notifications?
Untick the channel in Settings, Notifications, in the All feeds row and in the feed's row. Every notification e-mail has an Unsubscribe/e-mail settings link that opens this page.
