What is Feeder?
Feeder is an RSS reader for the web, with extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge and apps for iOS and Android. It works in Safari through the web app. It first launched as a Chrome extension in 2010. Paste a site's address in Add feed and Feeder finds its feed. Besides websites, the free plan follows e-mail newsletters, YouTube channels, subreddits and Google News. For a site with no feed, Feeder can create a custom RSS feed or an AI feed.

How does NewsBlur's training compare with Feeder's Rules?
Training is what NewsBlur is known for. You like or dislike an author, a tag or a title, and NewsBlur filters your stories to match, even on the free plan. Premium Pro adds training with regular expressions.
Feeder uses Rules and keyword filters on Plus, at $7.99 a month billed yearly. A rule looks for the words you choose, then stars the post, marks it as read, filters it out or adds it to a collection. On Professional, Feeder can also post matching news to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or a webhook.

How do I move from NewsBlur to Feeder?
- Export from NewsBlur. Save your sites as an OPML file. NewsBlur supports OPML import and export.
- Import into Feeder. Sign in to Feeder on the web, click Library, open Import & Export and choose Import from file. Your folders come across as they were. Step-by-step help is in Import and export your feeds with OPML.
- Set up your filters again. An OPML file lists feeds and folders only, so your training and saved stories stay in NewsBlur. Rebuild the filters you rely on as Rules on Plus.
The free plan updates up to 200 feeds. If your file has more, Feeder tells you after the import, and only the first 200 are updated until you upgrade.
