Feedly is an RSS reader from Feedly Inc. You follow websites and read their new articles in one list, on the web or in the iOS and Android apps. Its plans are Free, Pro, Pro+ and Enterprise. Pro+ adds Feedly AI, and Enterprise adds intelligence products for companies: Market, Threat, Biopharma and Competitive Intelligence.
What is Inoreader?
Inoreader is an RSS reader from Innologica, an EU-based company founded in 2013. It also runs on the web, iOS and Android. Inoreader is built for people who follow many sources and want to sort them automatically, so its Pro plan adds rules, filters, feeds for web pages without RSS, and AI. Its plans are Free, Pro and Custom for one person, plus Team plans.

To follow 2,500 feeds on Feedly, you need Pro+: $12 a month, billed yearly only ($144 a year). The first year was $99 when we checked. Pro+ adds Feedly AI, newsletters, Google News feeds and RSS Builder for sites without RSS. Inoreader refunds yearly payments within seven days.
Which updates faster, Feedly or Inoreader?
It depends on the plan, and on how many of your feeds need to be fast. This is what each help center says:
- Feedly: every 30 minutes to once a day on Free, depending on the site. Every 15 to 60 minutes on Pro. As often as every 7 minutes on Pro+ and Enterprise. Sites that push their updates to readers (PuSH) arrive in near real time.
- Inoreader: at least once an hour by default. On Pro you can boost up to 100 feeds, which then refresh every 10 minutes.
On Feedly Pro, all of your feeds update every 15 to 60 minutes. On Inoreader Pro, the feeds you boost update every 10 minutes and the rest at least once an hour. Feedly Pro+ is the fastest option of the two.
Which has better filters and alerts?
Inoreader. Its Pro plan has 30 rules, 50 filters and push notifications, and Team plans add e-mail digests. Feedly's help center says it has no in-app or e-mail notifications for new articles, and it suggests Zapier or IFTTT instead. Feedly's filtering runs on Feedly AI and comes with Pro+: mute filters hide what you don't want to see, and deduplication removes near-exact copies of the same story.
Feedly AI vs Inoreader AI
They do different jobs.
- Feedly AI (Pro+, $12 a month billed yearly) shapes what reaches you, with AI Feeds, Topics, mute filters and deduplication. Enterprise adds Feedly's Market, Threat, Biopharma and Competitive Intelligence.
- Inoreader's AI (Pro, $7.50 a month billed yearly) works on the articles you already follow: summaries, mentions, podcast and video transcripts, and suggested tags. You choose the AI provider: OpenAI, Mistral AI or Anthropic. Team Intelligence adds Intelligence reports and automated reports.
Do Feedly and Inoreader have apps for iPhone and Android?
Yes. Both have iOS and Android apps next to the web app. Feedly's iOS app needs iOS 15 or later.
- In your browser: Inoreader has extensions for Chrome and Firefox. Feedly Mini, for Chrome and Firefox, adds sources and saves articles to your boards, but you read in Feedly itself.
- In other apps: NetNewsWire and Reeder Classic can sync with both Feedly and Inoreader, so on an iPhone, iPad or Mac you can read either service in those apps.
- For developers: Inoreader's API is free for developers of public apps on platforms Inoreader doesn't cover, and Pro includes a limited number of API calls. On Feedly, API access is an Enterprise feature.
Which is better for teams?
Inoreader lists its team prices, while Feedly's team features are priced through its sales team. Inoreader's Team plans include Slack and Microsoft Teams, single sign-on and e-mail digests, and teams of 3 or 5 members share 10,000 RSS feeds. Team Intelligence adds AI reports. When Feedly is the better choice
- You want the cheapest paid plan. Pro is $6 a month billed yearly for 1,000 feeds, search, notes and highlights, and no ads.
- You want every feed checked often. Pro checks each feed every 15 to 60 minutes, and Pro+ as often as every 7 minutes.
- You want AI to decide what you see. Feedly AI on Pro+ mutes the noise and removes duplicates.
- Your company needs threat or market intelligence. Enterprise includes both, with up to 7,500 feeds.
When Inoreader is the better choice
- You want the better free plan. 150 feeds with no ads.
- You want rules, filters and alerts. All three come with Pro, at $7.50 a month billed yearly.
- You follow more than websites. Pro adds newsletters, web feeds for pages without RSS, and Facebook, Bluesky and Telegram feeds.
- You want AI summaries and transcripts, with your choice of AI provider.
- Your team wants a price up front. Team plans start at $44.99 a month for 3 members.

Export an OPML file in Feedly's web app at feedly.com/i/opml, then import it in Inoreader from Add feed. The export leaves out Boards, Read Later, AI Feeds and Reddit feeds. The same file works in Feeder, as shown in Import and export your feeds with OPML.
