How do I get alerts when a site with an RSS feed updates?
Many sites have a feed even when you can't see an RSS icon, and Feeder finds it for you.
- In Feeder, click Add feed and paste the website's address.
- Feeder shows the site's feed. Click Follow.
- Right-click the feed in the sidebar and choose Edit feed. On the Settings tab, under Notifications, turn on Mobile, Desktop or Sound.

How do I get alerts for a website without an RSS feed?
Build a feed from the page. Feeder watches a list on it, such as headlines, job openings or events, and each new item becomes a post that can notify you.
- Click Add feed and paste the address of the page that lists the items.
- Choose Create a custom RSS feed for this website.
- Click one item in the list, such as a headline. Feeder finds the items like it and shows a preview.
- Click Save feed, then turn on notifications for the new feed, as above.

Can I get website change alerts by e-mail?
Yes. Once you follow a site's feed or a custom feed, Feeder can e-mail you in two ways:
- Each new post: right-click the feed, choose Edit feed, and on the Settings tab, under Notifications, turn on E-mail.
- A digest: open Settings, then Email summaries, and select New summary. Pick a daily, weekly or monthly schedule and the feeds to include.

How do I monitor a price or a line of text on a page?
Feeder's custom feeds look for new items in a list. They don't alert you when a price or a sentence changes in place. For that, use a tool that compares the page with its last version:

How quickly will I hear about a change?
Feeder alerts you after it checks the feed and finds something new. On Free, feeds update every 2 hours by default, and you can set a feed to update as often as every 30 minutes.
