The Guardian RSS feeds: full list by section and topic

Updated October 3, 2026 5 min read

The Guardian's main RSS feed is https://www.theguardian.com/international/rss. Every Guardian section, topic and writer has a feed too: add /rss to the end of the page's address, like https://www.theguardian.com/world/rss for World news. Below are 68 Guardian feeds that work, from World news to Football, checked on October 3, 2026. Click a feed's name to add it to Feeder, or copy its URL into any RSS reader.

What is the Guardian RSS feed URL?

The Guardian has five editions, and each one has a feed of the stories on its front page, between 110 and 150 of them. The international edition is the most followed in Feeder.

FeedFeeder followersFeed URL
The Guardian: International edition1,198https://www.theguardian.com/international/rss
The Guardian: UK edition493https://www.theguardian.com/uk/rss
The Guardian: US edition268https://www.theguardian.com/us/rss
The Guardian: Europe edition14https://www.theguardian.com/europe/rss
The Guardian: Australia edition8https://www.theguardian.com/au/rss

Each item has the headline, the first two or three paragraphs of the story, the writer's name and a photo, with a link to the full story. The stories we opened from these feeds were all marked free to read, with no subscription needed.

How do I find the RSS feed for any Guardian page?

Add /rss to the end of the page's address. The Guardian's own help page, How to use the Guardian's RSS feeds, says this works for sections, topics and writers' profiles:

  • The section https://www.theguardian.com/football has the feed https://www.theguardian.com/football/rss.
  • The topic https://www.theguardian.com/technology/artificialintelligenceai has the feed https://www.theguardian.com/technology/artificialintelligenceai/rss.
  • The writer https://www.theguardian.com/profile/marinahyde has the feed https://www.theguardian.com/profile/marinahyde/rss.

A topic or writer feed lists their 20 newest stories. Easier still: paste the page's address into Feeder's Add feed. Guardian pages point to their own feed, so Feeder finds it for you.

Do the UK and US editions have different section feeds?

Some sections do. Business, Sport, Opinion, Culture, Technology and a few others have a front page for each edition. A plain address like https://www.theguardian.com/business/rss forwards to one edition's version, and from our server it went to the UK one. To pick the edition yourself, put uk/, us/ or au/ before the section name: https://www.theguardian.com/us/business/rss is the US edition's Business feed. The tables above use the UK versions, except where they say US.

Do old Guardian feed addresses still work?

Yes. Addresses from the guardian.co.uk days, like http://feeds.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/world/rss and http://www.guardian.co.uk/rssfeed/0,,1,00.xml, forward to today's feeds and still get new stories. About 140 Feeder users follow those two, and nothing needs to change for them.

A few blog feeds have stopped, though. The Technology blog has had no new post since 2017, and the Developer blog now forwards to the Engineering blog, whose newest post is from September 2024. If a feed in your reader has gone quiet, Why a feed stops updating explains the usual causes.

How do I follow the Guardian in Feeder?

  1. Select Add feed, the plus button in Feeder's sidebar. In the iPhone and Android apps, tap Discover and use the search field.
  2. Paste a Guardian page's address, like https://www.theguardian.com/football, or a feed URL from this page and press Enter.
  3. Feeder shows the feed with its newest posts. Select Follow.

Following several sections? Put them in a folder, so you can read them together or one at a time. How to create folders and organize your feeds shows how.
