Feeder can follow public Telegram channels, and it can post new articles from your feeds to a Telegram group or channel. Following channels needs Plus ($7.99 a month billed yearly) or Professional. Posting to Telegram needs Professional ($14.99 per user a month billed yearly).
Follow a Telegram channel
- Click Add feed.
- Under Social media, choose Telegram.
- Enter the channel's username or its link, for example
https://t.me/telegram. - Click Follow.
New posts from the channel show up in Feeder like posts from any other feed, so folders, Rules and notifications work with them too.
Only public channels work, because Feeder reads the channel's public web page. A quick test: if the channel opens in your browser at https://t.me/s/ followed by its name, Feeder can follow it.
Post new articles to Telegram
With the Post to Telegram rule, Feeder sends new posts from your feeds to a Telegram group or channel, for example to share news with your team or community.
- Add a rule to the feed you want to share (see Rules) and choose Post to Telegram.
- Click Connect to Telegram and add the Feeder bot to your Telegram group or channel.
- In a channel, make the bot an administrator that can post messages. Feeder tells you if the bot can't post to a chat yet.
- Choose the chat under Select chat and save the rule.
After your first connection, every chat you add the bot to appears in the list automatically. To post only some articles, add keywords to the rule: a rule without keywords posts every new article.
Common questions
Can I follow a private Telegram channel or group?
No. Feeder can only read channels that anyone can see on the web.
Why does Telegram ask me to upgrade?
Following Telegram channels is part of Plus and Professional, so on the Free plan the Telegram option opens an upgrade screen. Posting to Telegram is part of Professional.
