Create a Gengo forwarding address in Feeder, then set up Gmail to forward Gengo's job emails to it. Each new job then shows up in Feeder as a post, and you can get a notification the moment it arrives. Gengo in Feeder is part of Plus ($7.99 a month billed yearly, or $9.99 monthly) and Professional.
The emails work alongside your Gengo RSS feed, which you add on the same page in Feeder. Use both: the RSS feed lets you filter jobs by reward and language, and the emails don't wait for Feeder's next check.
Step 1: Get your forwarding address
- In Feeder, click Add feed and choose Gengo under Job boards. Or go straight to feeder.co/library/feeds/new/gengo.
- Under Your Gengo forwarding e-mail, click Create forwarding e-mail.
- Copy the address that appears. It starts with
gengo.and ends in@tofeeder.com.
Step 2: Add the address in Gmail
- In Gmail on your computer, click Settings, then See all settings.
- Open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and click Add a forwarding address.
- Paste your Feeder address, then click Next, Proceed and OK.
- Gmail sends a confirmation email to Feeder. It shows up as a new feed in your feed list, named Gmail Team or the same in your language. Reload Feeder if you don't see it.
- Open the email and click the confirmation link, or copy it into your browser, and confirm.
You don't need to turn on forwarding for all your mail. The filter in the next step forwards only Gengo's job emails.
Step 3: Forward Gengo's job emails
- In Gmail, click Show search options in the search box.
- In From, enter
no-reply@gengo.com, the address Gengo's job emails come from. - Click Create filter.
- Check Forward it, choose your Feeder address, and click Create filter.
New Gengo jobs now arrive in Feeder in a feed called Gengo. To hear about each one right away, turn on notifications for that feed: see Get notifications about important things.
Common questions
Gmail's confirmation email never showed up. What now?
Reload Feeder and look for a new feed from Gmail. If it isn't there after a few minutes, check that you pasted the whole forwarding address into Gmail, then email us.
How do I see only jobs above a certain reward?
Use a rule on your Gengo RSS feed. Click Rules, then New rule, and select your Gengo RSS feed under Select feeds. You can then set Gengo reward amount, Gengo language pairs and Gengo job level. These filters work on the RSS feed, not on the email feed.
Can Feeder check Gengo faster?
Yes. On Plus and Professional, you can set up to 3 Gengo RSS feeds to Super fast under Update speed in the feed's settings. Forwarded emails don't wait for a check: they reach Feeder as soon as Gmail forwards them.
