In Feeder, open Team, then SSO / SAML, and enter your identity provider's SSO URL and certificate. Feeder then shows the ACS URL to enter in your identity provider, and the entity ID is always feeder.co. Single sign-on is part of Feeder's Enterprise plan. For a price quote, email sales@feeder.co.
With SSO, your team signs in to Feeder with their company account, so nobody needs another password. This guide uses Google Workspace as the example. Other SAML identity providers work the same way.
What does my identity provider need from Feeder?
| Field in your identity provider | What to enter |
|---|---|
| ACS URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL) | The Consumer Service URL Feeder shows after you save your settings. It looks like https://feeder.co/-saml/<your ID>/callback. |
| Entity ID | feeder.co |
| Name ID | The user's email address. Feeder signs people in by email. |
How do I set up SSO with Google Workspace?
You need to be a super administrator in Google Workspace.
- In the Google Admin console (admin.google.com), go to Apps, then Web and mobile apps.
- Click Add app, then Add custom SAML app. Name the app Feeder and click Continue.
- On Google Identity Provider details, copy the SSO URL and download the Certificate. Keep this tab open.
- In a new tab, open Feeder, click Team in the sidebar and open the SSO / SAML tab.
- Fill in the form:
- Domain: your company's domain, for example
mycompany.com. It becomes part of your team's login URL. - SSO Target URL: the SSO URL from Google.
- Certificate: open the certificate file you downloaded in a text editor, and paste all of its text.
- Domain: your company's domain, for example
- Click Save. Under Details, Feeder now shows your Login URL, Consumer Service URL and Logout Service URL.
- Back in Google, click Continue. Under Service Provider Details, paste Feeder's Consumer Service URL into ACS URL and enter
feeder.coas the Entity ID. Leave Name ID at its default, the primary email. - Click Continue. You don't need any attribute mapping, so click Finish.
- Turn the app on: select it in Web and mobile apps, click User access, choose On for everyone (or turn it on for the organizational units that need Feeder), and click Save.
Google's own steps are in Set up your own custom SAML app.
How does my team sign in with SSO?
Share the Login URL, for example https://feeder.co/login/mycompany.com. It opens a page with a Log in with your mycompany.com account button. In the iPhone and Android apps, people tap Log in with SSO and enter the domain.
The first time someone signs in with SSO, Feeder creates their account and adds them to your team.
Common questions
Why does it say "This user is not part of the team"?
That person already has a Feeder account outside your team. Add them to the team first, under Team, Manage users, then have them sign in again.
Why does it say "No e-mail for your login was found"?
Your identity provider didn't send an email address. Set the Name ID to the user's email address and try again.
I just want to log in to Feeder. Where do I go?
Go to feeder.co/login. You only need this guide if you're setting up SSO for a team.
Still stuck? Email support@feeder.co with the error you see and the name of your identity provider, and we'll help you finish the setup.
