Ensure your notification settings are on<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The best place to check is the <a href=\"https:\/\/feeder.co\/reader?view=preferences%2Fnotifications\">Notification settings page<\/a>. Check that the feed is updating correctly<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Is the feed you want to receive notifications from updating correctly? Go to that feed in the feed list and check the most recent posts. Ensure that notifications display from other places<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To test that notifications are actually working on your computer, you can use this page that we built. <a href=\"https:\/\/feeder.co\/notification-test\">Test notifications here<\/a>. Press first &#8220;Allow&#8221;, then &#8220;Send test&#8221;. Did you see a notification? If not, continue on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4. Make sure both are set to ON, just to make sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"840\" src=\"https:\/\/feeder.co\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/image-5-1024x840.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-983\" style=\"width:512px;height:420px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feeder.co\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/image-5-1024x840.png 1024w, https:\/\/feeder.co\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/image-5-300x246.png 300w, https:\/\/feeder.co\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/image-5-768x630.png 768w, https:\/\/feeder.co\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/image-5-1536x1260.png 1536w, https:\/\/feeder.co\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/image-5.png 1560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If it was previously OFF, set it to ON and restart Chrome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Make sure Do not disturb is OFF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the menu bar, press the &#8220;Moon&#8221; icon, and make sure that the setting &#8220;Always on&#8221; or a similar setting is on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 5. Check if a system cleaning utility is resetting your browser permissions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some commonly used system cleaning tools can reset or delete browser site permissions without making it obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, utilities such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"chatgpt:\/\/generic-entity?number=0\">CCleaner<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"chatgpt:\/\/generic-entity?number=1\">BleachBit<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>may remove saved site preferences in Chrome or Edge. This includes permissions like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allowing feeder.co to send notifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allowing Google Maps to access your location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If these permissions are wiped, Feeder will still update the unread count on the extension icon, but desktop notifications will stop appearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What to check<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In your browser, open Settings \u2192 Privacy &amp; Security \u2192 Site Settings \u2192 Notifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure <strong>feeder.co<\/strong> is listed under <strong>Allowed to send notifications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it is set to Blocked, change it to Allow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you use a cleaning utility, check whether it has an option such as \u201cSite Preferences\u201d enabled for Chrome or Edge, and disable that option.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If permissions keep resetting, your system cleaner is likely removing them after each run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Still not working?
